11.30 A.M.We are just approaching the St Paul Island harbor & will doubtless be landed in a few minutes though the fog is rather trying. The wind blows cold from the N.E. indicating ice at no great distance. We are sure to meet some of the drifted fragments in a day or two. And now my love & babe I must bid good bye for another week or two. I hope you will get all my other notes. Open all my letters & answer such as may require it. Be patient. With love to all our family I am every your affectionate husband John Muir.01007
