Bring your Doctor & Allie if you possibly can & any of your other friends if you cannot possibly help it. We will have a season of unmeasured bliss & I am stupid with the whole prospect 00541[3]I spoke to Mr Hutchings about that section of Sequoia & he said that he knew nothing whatever about the matter which statement is doubtless entirely correct I than wrote to Galen Clark & he informed me that a section fourteen feet in length by about fifteen or twenty in dia' was cut from the [fresnor?] grove last year & hauled to Stockton at an expense of about $2500,00. The Fresnor grove can be reached by wagon & a section procured at less expense than from the Mariposa or [Calveras?] groves Of the section taken from the F' grove last season, only the bark & a small portion of the wood was taken, in small numbered sections like st[illegible]es
