William and Maymie Kimes Annotation
In this double issue of The Pacific Historian is a selection of papers presented at a conference entitled ""John Muir: Life and Legacy,"" held at the University of the Pacific, April, 1985. Most of the authors used numerous selected writings of John Muir all of which are well-documented in footnotes, as are the previously unpublished excerpts found on the following pages: 16, 18-26, 58, 59, 96-99, 104, 110, 115, 119, 130, 131, 150. Among the many illustrations are some previously unpublished ones that include five photographs, four Muir drawings, and two photos of marginalia from books in Muir's library.
