William and Maymie Kimes Annotation
In the article "Proposed John Muir-Kings Canyon National Park" is a condensed version of Muir's article commissioned by Robert Underwood Johnson for The Century Magazine (no. 185). Also included are the nine superb illustrations, drawn by Charles D. Robinson, that accompanied the original publication. Three of them are done from sketches by Muir.
