1) 6-Week Dental MBA Program with Dental Coach USA The 6-Week Dental MBA Program offers an immersive experience for dental students aspiring to own their practice. Over six weeks, participants engage in presentations by industry experts from Dental Coach USA, covering essential topics such as practice philosophy, marketing strategies, acquisition, and value addition. Through weekly PowerPoint presentations, students craft a blueprint for their future practice. The program culminates in an awards night where the top presenters showcase their projects, fostering confidence and strategic thinking among participants. This program equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the complex landscape of dental practice ownership. By delving into topics like due diligence, branding, and revenue generation, students gain a comprehensive understanding of practice management. Furthermore, the opportunity to network with industry professionals and peers enhances their learning experience, preparing them for successful careers in dentistry. We extend our gratitude to Dental Coach USA for their invaluable contributions to this program, as well as the Dugoni Business Club for their collaboration and support. We also acknowledge the dedication of all student participants whose enthusiasm and engagement have made this program a success. 2) Hands-On Cosmetic Restoration Workshop with Dr. Ed McLaren This workshop, led by Dr. Ed McLaren, offers a hands-on learning experience for 20 dental students selected to participate. Through lectures and demonstrations, participants learn techniques for cosmetic dental restoration, including smile design, placement of bonded functional esthetic prototypes (BFEPs), and preparation and cementation of veneers. The workshop emphasizes practical skills, with participants engaging in clinical exercises following each lecture. By providing hands-on experience in cosmetic dentistry, this workshop empowers dental students to enhance their clinical skills and incorporate esthetic principles into their future practice. Participants learn fundamental concepts such as smile design, material selection, and adhesive cementation, enabling them to deliver high-quality cosmetic treatments to their patients. Additionally, the workshop fosters collaboration and professional development among participants, enriching their educational journey. We express our gratitude to the Pacific Aesthetic Society for their collaboration in organizing this workshop, and to Dr. Ed McLaren for sharing his expertise with our participants.
