Literature Review
Introduction/Context/Diagnosis
This literature review strives to understand different treatment modalities for replacing missing teeth, specifically, considerations for choosing between implants, bridges, and removable dentures.
Methods/Treatment Plan
We looked at a number of published research articles to compile a list of important factors when deciding between these treatment options.
Results/Outcome
Patient-centered is a philosophy that healthcare providers should strive to achieve by understanding patients, beyond just their oral conditions. This approach requires considering the patient's overall health, medical history, and preferences. Healthcare providers must also consider various factors such as the patient's financial situation, level of homecare, and expectations, before suggesting treatment options. By providing personalized care, healthcare providers can improve treatment outcomes and patient satisfaction. It is important to note that while there may be multiple treatment options available, they are not a one-size-fits-all solution, and each patient requires an individualized approach to treatment.
Significance/Conclusions
We hope to compile and summarize up-to-date research articles to better inform our clinical judgment in future patient care.
