Methods/Treatment Plan

Site preparation for bone graft by removing the existing sealer button that is detrimental for long term prognosis of the implant. After healing of the site for about a month, reopening it and placing cancellous bone graft to cover the defect. Allowed the site to heal for about 6 months. Placed appropriate site development placed implant #8. Shaped the soft tissue using a temporary crown.

Results/Outcome

Increased in bucco-lingual diameter of the bone after graft placement. This increased horizontal width facilitated the placement of implant.
