Abstract
‘Changing the culture’ has certainly entered the coaching lexicon at all competitive levels ofsport. Yet a significant body of literature on team culture—how it is built, changed, embodiedor integrated—has yet to develop. The article by Cruikshank et al. adds much neededattention to a contemporary topic in the coaching psychology literature. The intimate accessobtained by the authors and the resulting multiple stakeholder perspective provide necessarysteps forward in assessing and understanding team culture. However, without a clearcharacterization of team culture, the degree of culture change evident is less clear. Thishighlights the need for the development of a comprehensive conceptualization of team culture.
