Where the Rubber Meets the Road: Incorporating Evidence-Based Dentistry

Different career stages in dentistry have unique challenges for incorporating evidence-based dentistry (EBD). Practicing dentists, the majority group, have daily time constraints. Students, the future of dentistry, need to become quick and profi cient at EBD if they are to practice it after graduation, as with any procedural skill. Faculty, the shepherds of the future, have widely different schedules that make universal training diffi cult. This article proposes some solutions for those challenges.
