Abstract
This study deals with the tenure of teachers of the fifty-nine rural schools of San Joaquin County that have from one to twenty teachers each.
The problem is to find and record the factors that influence teachers to continue teaching over a period of years in certain rural schools of San Joaquin County, rather than moving about.
