Abstract/Artist Statement

Mage De Cuisine Personal Pocket Kitchen Magician

Mage De Cuisine is an Android application that can recommend possible recipes based on items the user currently possesses in his or her fridge. The purpose of our project is to help people improve their cooking skills, save money by cooking at home, and discover new recipes. Many college students and people in general find cooking for themselves to be a struggle in large part due to the lack of not knowing what to cook or how to prepare the dish. Rather than taking the time to research new recipes and figure out if they have all the needed ingredients many people prefer to go out and eat which leads to overspending and overeating. With the Mage de Cuisine application, users can enter ingredients in their fridge and the application will generate recipes for them, with step by step instructions on how to prepare each meal. Users can also bookmark their favorite recipes and save ingredients. The Mage De Cuisine application will be available to try on Senior Project Day.
