Abstract/Artist Statement

Our project is the creation of a user-friendly relational database along with a user interface exclusively for use by St. Mary’s Dining Room in Stockton, California. This is one component in a longer term project to simplify and improve the efficiency of St. Mary’s record keeping process. Our objective for the current component is the creation of a functional prototype. The project interface is being created with Microsoft Visual Studio and the database with MySQL. Due to our client’s unfamiliarity with analogous technologies, our priorities are the extensibility and testability of this prototype. The feedback acquired during evaluation of the prototype will be critical to the future development of the project.
