Robert T. McKee's Stockton Home. Successful New York interior design Robert T. McKee was born and raised in Stockton. In 1924 he married Eila Haggin and the two helped the museum become a reality with funds and paintings for her family's art collection in 1931. the McKee home was on the NW corner of Hunter and Oak Streets and was one of the City's grander homes in the 1870s and 80s. It was torn down in the late 1920s.
