Abstract

The purpose of this session is to familiarize the participants with the Patient Care Process and develop initial plans to fully incorporate the development of the Patient Care Process into the curriculum and curricular outcomes.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Describe the Patient Care Process and the importance of incorporating its development across the curriculum.
  2. Describe or provide specific curricular outcomes or learning objectives on development of the Patient Care Process.
  3. Describe or provide initial plans for the development of the Patient Care Process across the curriculum in a consistent, progressive manner.
  4. Describe potential opportunities and challenges associated with curricular revision to fully incorporate the development of the Patient Care Process across the curriculum in a consistent, progressive manner.
