Dear Helen- I was up a beautiful mountain yesterday. It was just covered with lovely flowers in most places, & I gathered some of them for you A good many trees grow on it - beautiful spruces but not so large as the California spruce. There are hundreds of mountains hereabouts snowy & icy on the top, green & flowery on the sides & with [trees?] about their feet & oh so many lovely lakes & water falls. With much love from loving papa J.M.
