April 28, 1893.
My dear Mr Johnson Mr Magee sent you a paper on parks & forests the other day which I urged him to write. In case you can’t use it can you find place for it elsewhere? I hope to see you in a week or two & therefore will not write of the many things I want to speak about. Am just now
finishing the Alaska articles. May go across to my old home in Scotland the Alps etc, & yet it seems a dreadful waste of time to go so far on that side of the world.
Ever Cordially
John Muir
I expect to learn here about the 10th or 15th of May – but may possibly go to Alaska instead.
