Asks me to be present at Annual meeting of Sierra Club and read a paper on the recession of Yosemite to National Gvd.
Martinez, Dec, 25, 1896
My dear Mr Lukens.
The day has not yet been set for the annual meeting of the Sierra Club but will be soon after the hold ups & I will let you know as soon as the day is fixed. I am delighted to know that you favor the recession of of the Yosemite Grant to the Federal Government to be made a part of the Yosemite National Park, which naturally it now is. Can I count on you to be present at our annual meeting to talk to the Club on this subject?
With best wishes for your wife & grandchildren & Mr. Dyer
I am ever Cordially yours
John Muir
