Dear Bro Muir,
I have a letter from Mr Cory this A M written from New Mexico telling me that if you will pay $2500. by July first that he will have his Father extend the mortgage one year. You can send the money to me here or direct to him at Kansas City, (R.W. Cory, 612 Walnut Street Kansas City Mo. I shall hear from him with full particulars

soon as he is home which he stated would be in about a week. Why he is so anxious to attend to this by July first is so he can go back to New-Mexico at that time where he is building a Quartz Mill. It would be very hard to make a loan now to take up the whole $5000. with interest so if you possibly can I think you had better try to do it the way he requests. Will write again soon as I hear again from Cory. Very Truly Walter Brown
