My Dear Brother Muir,

I beg your pardon for the delay in answering your message but I was away and I [illegible] you as follows Soon as I got home, “R.W. [Cary?] Kansas City but cannot tell the ammount of the interest due, I think about five hundred, can let you know in two weeks, [Cary?] is now away.” Why I cannot tell

the ammounts is this, Mr [Cory?] is my Special partner in this Company and some other things and as his father owns the Mortgage I have him attend to the rents taxes & its general care and as I have not had a statement for some months I cannot tell how it is exactly. Mr [Cory?] is now in New Mexico but will return to Kansas City about the first of June when he will [write?] me the information you want.
