Oct 16, 1914Darling Helen: Let me know when you want more grapes or quinces: I hope the plants arrived in good order. You must give them lots of water & shelter from sand blasts, I could not find a single rooted Banksia or Cherokee, but Wanda thinks they might grow from cuttings. The rooted yellow roses are sure to do well.Wanda was astonished at the might of baby Buel- said Strentzel did not weight as much at ten months.Ever your devoted father & friendJohn Muir
