Daggett, Cal. Feb. 15thDear Papa-I received your two letters from home, also the clippings of "[Ninnie's?]" smiles, All goes well here. We have had some rain since you left, but yesterday was perfect - warm and sunny, with a something in the air that made me glad to be alive to breathe it. I had a [fine?] ride in the afternoon.B[illegible]el received his book and was very much pleased that you remembered. But he didnt wait to read the book to stop smoking- he took your good advice as you wanted him to, and quit smoking the next day. He asked me to thank you for both your kind advice, and the book.Im well and happy. Lovingly Helen04439
