PRIVATE OFFICE
FRANK A. MILLER

Riverside, Cal.

Feb. 8, 1908.

My dear Mr. Muir:

Do you know of any lime rock formation in or near the Yosemite where we could establish a lime kiln that would turn out enough lime for the construction of the new hotel in the Valley? Also, do you know of a practical man in the Yosemite neighborhood who would be capable of undertaking this work?
I regret very much that I was away on my European trip when you visited the Mission Inn and hope you will be south again soon. It would be a great pleasure to have you as my guest for at least two weeks.I want to show you the points of interest around Riverside the next time you come.

Sincerely yours,
[illegible]Mr. John Muir,
Martinez,
