My dear Mr Lukens
Many thanks for the lot of beautiful & rare pictures which came yesterday. The palm Parkinsonia & bird & squirrel photos are very interesting. I had no idea the palms of Cal grew in ground so rocky or were so abundant. The Cactus view is also fine & the old liveoaks. I'll bear that tree-planting business in mind & do what I can every chance I have With love to all your family I am
