John Muir

[John Muir]

W. B. Parker

[First draft of letter, in note-took #69] (77)

[Nov., 1900].

Mr. W. B. Parker:

I thank you for your kind letter concerning autobiography. What autobiographical material J[ohn] Burroughs referred to I don't know. I hope to get some more important matters off my hand before trying the story of my life, which contains but little of general interest. I was a skilful mountaineer, and therefore had few adventures, and my wildest climbs and scrambles were as uneventful as - - Mr. J[ohnson] of the Century Co. has been at me for a long time [letter unfinished]
