[in margin: remember me to Good Van Dyke]
Martinez, July 8. [1913?]
Darling Helen:
Tom & Wanda started on a pleasure trip last eve for some point up the coast in the redwoods to be gone a week or two.
Mrs Hanna & Julia are keeping the house & children.
Tom says there are no good peaches hereabouts. I'll try to find some in S.F. It's very hot here, has been for nearly a week. Be very careful to guard against sudden especially the baby.
Ever devotedly your father
