John Muir

[William] Colby

Martinez. Nov. 9, 1907.

Dear Mr. Colby:

I thank you for your kind letter and enclosures. The circular letter is all right as far as I can see, and the suggestion of yours to change and rearrange the Article on H.H. for the Bulletin is good, and I'll try to prepare it very soon. Also I'll write to Mr. Keeler to look out for the speech of the dammer.
Mr. Johnson, (R.U.) is busy and watchful. He writes me that the Secretary will take up the reservoir subject soon, but I've had nothing direct from Washington. How that story of being requested to examine H.H. for the President and report at Washington originated I can't imagine. But if you can keep protests flying, we are sure to win. Nothing would better please the President.

John Muir.
