Dear Mr. Colby:
I signed and forwarded the Club letter to Hitchcock as you requested. It can do no harm, and I fear little good. We must try to get detailed descriptions of the work to be done first with estimate of cost, etc., on which to base requests for appropriations.
I'll try to see you ere long. Come up when you can and see if I have anything for the Club Library.
With best wishes for this New Year, I am,
Faithfully yours,
John Muir.
