Ridge Road and Highland Place Berkeley, Cal August 7th 1905 My dear Mr. Muir: Mr. Keith has just told me of the death of Mrs. Muir, and I cannot refrain from sending you this word of loving sympathy. Louise and I both think of you and the girls with deep concern. The good earth mother whom you know so much more nearly and dearly than most men will give you strength in this time of trial, and I know you will look calmly
before you, seeing in death as in life the beauty and mystery which we feel to be of the divine plan. I trust Helen is better, and that Arizona will soon restore her to perfect health. With loving sympathy, Charles Keeler
