C C. BUEL,
My dear Muir:-
I hope you will give me as soon as possible the dates of your departure from California and your arrival in New York so that I may reserve some time for you. We are so busy in New York that we often have to know in advance in order to arrange anything for our out of town friends, and I do hope to be able to have a few days with you and Burroughs in the country.
Mr, John Muir,
