Dear Sir
I would like to know what will be the share of getting some [stricken word] money from [stricken word] this fate or forepart of the winter. I see no share of getting any money from Dan or Walter do not Know anything about Dan'l then will be two payments due on the land next Jany. I am afraid we will have to loose, etc unless something can be done. I saw Walter about 6 weeks ago he was hard up then no money to spare.
Maggie is with me on the ranch at present her health is not good I was in hopes that a change would
do her good.
It has been very dry here [stricken word] this summer [stricken word] crops have failed here again causing me to hire some more morning when it is very hard to get I will have to hire $500.00 this fall to buy feed & do not know where to get it.
My colts are generally doing well except a few that are on the back grounds.
Kansas is loosing at present business is very dull no money in the country a good many home steaders are preparing to leave for some other farm country would like to know where it is unless it be Cal_
