Jon Muir Esq. Martinez, Cal.

Dear Sir,

The Com- missioners having opened an office here I am desirous of accumulating there- for all information in printed form that has been prepared concerning this region and other interesting re- gions as well. I have never had the pleasure of perusing any of your writ- ings although I have heard them often quoted. Itherefore take the liberty of ask- ing you for a list of your works and the places and times of publication that I may, if possible, secure them.

Very Truly Yours, W. E. Dennison, Guardian
