At the University Park World Peace Rose Garden, in partnership with students all over the globe, thousands of students from Stockton schools participate in the Messages of Peace Contest. Messages are judged locally and winning messages are placed on plaques throughout the garden and unveiled by students at the annual spring Celebration. Students have the opportunity to participate in the contest year after year, allowing them to develop their own personal peace platform and build a peace community within their classroom. The Messages Of Peace are poignant and unscripted thoughts revealing the thoughts and dreams of this next generation. Visitors will be moved and motivated to think about peace in their life and their opportunity to help be an Architect Of Change for Peace.

In January 2020, the University of the Pacific Libraries, in collaboration with University Park World Peace Rose Garden and Grupe Commercial Company and with funding provided by Pacific's Beyond Our Gates, hosted a Messages of Peace event on campus in the University Library. This collaborative event was focused on performing outreach with the Stockton community, inviting middle schoolers from a local public school to visit campus and engage in active discussion and co-creation of Messages of Peace.

Additional events will happen in the future, including Peace Assemblies at four Stockton public schools in March and the 2020 Peace Messages celebration on April 23 at the University Park World Peace Rose Garden.
