17 Half cloudy snow this eve. Last eve 5 or 6 inches 18 7 or 8 in snow Last night & still snowing 9 PM snowing after noon Fine gentle snow storm Snow over all & in all 19th sunful again in continuance of daily snow & sun vibration. Falls very deeply coated

37 with ice wh [which] came down at intervals of few minutes all day with astonishing length & breadth of reverberating sounds. 20th Sun Calm. Loud thundering of ice from border of Yo fall continuing all day Witnessed grand snow aval, back of [Lingdys] winter house exactly similar to fall of water when it arrived at horizontal bench it filled it as a stream does [with] a basin & thus flowed on
