Ice here Stringer from cannon At up cascades (Virginia Trail) 7th cascade ends with perp[perpendicular] [leap] /altogether 110 ft. Foot of 100 yds from 6th. Top of 8th 150 from foot. 8th Top 8250 Top 9th cas @ 8430 A long slope with a few jumps of 10 to 20 ft.

64 Top 10th casc[cascade] 8480 Begins & ends with lake or lake meadow – at foot of this a mass of black slate 25 ft brightly polished but falling apart like a heap of stones dumped from a cart
