45 rings around rocks & make beautiful fringes (red) long after falling In Upper Kern porcupines v [very] ab [abundant] as shown by [peeled] contorta which grows spotted by [barked] sections, a few killed or [top] killed. Monardella common here just going out of bloom so also verbena like plant. Aug 7. Had fine time in Kaweah.
