Chaparral covered slopes moraine sprinkled on N walls. Mosses picturesque Lava on summits. Yo called Donell’s Flat – he discovered it. Built. Camped at Douglass or Eureka Flag. A yo. With mostly sloping timbered or chaparral. The timber of S. wall of A magnic. Jeff pond on dry gravelly floor of valley – Contorta on hillside. The river a fine stream for ouzels and trout. Mr Doag here 30 yrs.
