of blood N & S then put a green willow under head then [poured] a little water in mouth on wound & on tail. Then began [skinning]. Was particular about the direction, made me get out of way & [seemed] very serious. Would not sell one alive. All die big swell & stink like [hell].

Would not [sell] head, he looked up when we asked why & saw what you call [ ] 1 moon all die On bank of stream [flowing] over [ ] gravel & boulders [sedges] willow dwarf [Cass] mosses making sod with gray boulders projecting all began to lie down
