[ ] [eclipses] shuting out the light of Heaven. Kick or eat or sell your dearest [friends] [ ] [cattle] out of your sight if they stand between you & the light of Heaven, Vineyards were made for man not man for vineyards

So to grass [Do] by yourselves at least as well as by your sheep. Drive yourselves to the mtns [mountains] let your souls feed now & then on the alpine upper pastures The storm gushing semi frantic industry of Cal [California] farms & fruit growers bears about the same relation to rational bread [winning] that [a throbbing] delirious fever does to calm health
