HOUGHTON MIFFLIN COMPANY4 PARK STREET BOSTONJune 24, 1908.Mr. John Mulr,Martinez. Cal.Dear Mr. Muir:-I had the pleasure of seeing an extremely Interesting photograph yesterday, which was taken by Mr. Herbert W. Gleason. It was entitled "John Muir and Stlckeen." I wonder whether you recall it. With this in my mind I am led to drop you a line in regard to the manuscript, as ws all are anxious to have the "adventure" put forth in permanent form. Were you able to get as far ahead on your literary work at the ranch as you hoped? May we expect to receive "Stickeen"04231
