You & Helen must read or reread Parkmans history of the Indians & early French explorers in Canada you will find charming descriptions of this region in the midst of the green [letterhead]& red history of the savages missionaries & adventurous traders. Lake George & Champlain were the highway to Canada for both Indians & whites for centuries.You may be sure Ill sleep long & well tonight. I have a good room & a good bed.
