Brown cycles of delight are now doing their duty, spending their sweetness in the three Muir pilgrims at balmly palmly Palm Springs. Like the doughnuts among other food so are the Palm Spring gardens beside the blazing desert – an oasis of shade and figs and orioles. Do you remember Milton’s account of the unlucky fallen angels frying like doughnuts in burning Hades ward? So we fried and sizzled in the red hot
