[Mary??] has been here for a week and had some good sleigh rides [Joanna and I?] went to visit Sarah yesterday and found them all well and happy. David has been very busy [illegible] [lumber for a barn?] and [illegible] with out men often lately [illegible] the sleighing is now good- Joanna has been expecting a letter from you for a long time you will surely write soon she cannot get to school as -
