[letterhead]Dear Mr. Muir:We have already sent you a check for the balance due you on account of papers received. We [now?] add that of course we shall look for a good long account of the Jeannette Expedition — the magazine aspect of it — [from?] your pen for The Century as Scribner is to be called after the October number. Col. W.H. Gilder who goes along will write for the Herald but [illegible] [illegible] likely make some sketches to accompany your work and these with your own will furnish ample bases for illustrations.
