William and Maymie Kimes Annotation
The Sierra Club Bulletin appropriately recognized the hundredth anniversary of John Muir's birth by publishing these excerpts from one of his unpublished journals, which were soon to appear with others in book form, no. 379. A drawing of Muir's, with a fitting quotation from his journal, accompanies the article.
