William and Maymie Kimes Annotation

This book was reprinted from the plates of no. 281 with an added biography, notes, and questions. It is no. 231 in The Riverside Literature Series. There was a paper edition issued at 10 cents; however, we have not located a copy. Houghton Mifflin Company also published The Riverside Readers, each composed of selections from a few of their well-known authors. The company wrote to Muir on December II, 1912, requesting permission to use pages 43-71 from Stickeen in its seventh-grade reader (CStoC). There is a possibility that this was published; however, we have not located a copy.
