Abstract
California’s judicial branch has never been stronger or more vibrant. Thanks to a decade and a half of sustained leadership, planning, and implementation—along with a heavy dose of practical flexibility—the branch has successfully weathered a striking series of fundamental organizational changes, including unifying the trial courts, securing state funding for the trial courts, implementing technology reforms, gaining control over facilities, and adopting court employee legislation.
