On the vibratory motion of elastic laminates, where many new types of vibrations, not treated heretofore, are solved
In this paper, and also in E526, Euler presents a fully explicit theory in solving the equation k4 y''' = y using circular and exponential functions. It includes accurate calculations of frequencies and nodal ratios for vibrating bars. (Based on Clifford Truesdell's An idiot's fugitive essays on science: methods, criticisms, training, circumstances.)
