Abstract/Artist Statement

Using Deimos spectroscopy, we are measuring the velocity of an elongated galaxy potentially orbiting a Milky Way-like galaxy. This galaxy has been confirmed to be orbiting its host galaxy. Spectroscopy will also inform us of the galaxy's properties by measuring its metallicity. Through our data, we may learn more about the host galaxy and make comparisons to our own.
