Abstract/Artist Statement

Azure is a composition designed to emulate the ever-changing weather that surrounds us all, and how a cloudy sky can be changed to a bright blue one in mere moments. This piece has three main sections too it, each one representing a different sky, a different mood to be in. This piece uses pitch sliding to express melodic ideas, taking advantage of the stringed instrument's natural ability to accomplish this.
