Father is here awaiting matters

return from the South to take him & Joanna he does not dare to go down town & hardly out of doors he is very much weaker than he was two months ago. his limb is growing weaker & more painful it even troubles him in the night but he looks red & healthy in the face; all of the folks are usualy well here Thank to Emma for her Photo We had a very Merry Christmas at mothers just Galloways & my family left & we had to eat & cut up for the whole of you. We have had a very good [falls?] trade. We had had the b[illegible] this fall more than the others Still we are not happy & perhaps never will be Remember [me?] to the children & Emma
